Remember the Lord to Release Fear & Egotism
As many religions suggest, including Christianity and Sikhism, we are called to remember our truest selves by remembering the Lord. This enables our shedding of fear, egotism, and our hurtful states.
Illuminate Life with Divine Reflection and Meditation
Many traditions uplift the transformative power of God-awareness and reflection, in all its many forms. Funny enough, most of us think its next to impossible to meditate on Divinity constantly - and yet, we also find the trauma and pain of grief, egotism, and anxiety to be nay-on unbearable.
The Yoga of the Resurrected Christ Empowers Healing & Diversity
"Yoga" means union and is a way of life encouraged by many traditions. As the incarnate God(dess) who transcends any one religion, the Resurrected Christ in Mark 16 emphasizes this union by pointing to how we should move beyond differences in how we find God, as well as beyond our old unhealthy habits, instead finding healing and community renewal in diversity from God-consciousness and love.
Divinity Rises with us Throughout our Sacrifices and our Grief
Many faith traditions speak of the empowerment that centering on the Prince(ss) of Peace can bring, even in the midst of the Coronavirus/Covid-19 and great strife. We look at this idea from our interfaith, mystical lens.
Sprout into Awareness of Eternity & Your Everlasting, Growth-Filled Life
In this video, we explore the world scriptures' common ideas about eternal life, the spiritual realm, and the afterlife, as well as what that can mean for us today in the midst of such great fear, pain, and loss. Indeed, many traditions offer words of comfort and justice in the face of loss and may surprise us by the veins of hope and empowerment.
Let's Clear our Eyes to See Divinity
Let's reflect on many of the world's scriptures' idea that we should take the “plank” out of our own eye before we focus our attention on the “dust” in another’s. Although already a hefty suggestion, this invitation may be more than it seems: inviting us toward non-judgmental engagement with life and a moment-to-moment recentering on devotion and peace.
Becoming Human: How Empathy Empowers Healing & Community
Recent psychological studies show that empathy is the key factor within healing therapeutic relationships. And many traditions emphasize that God(dess) sees and cares about us as a Divine Friend, and that our ability to empathize is gifted to us and can be further empowered by reflecting the Divinity within and around us.
Renounce Zombie "Capitalism" for Divinity's Love of True Capital
Like many of the world’s scriptures, the Bible is very critical of unjust economics and many of the hard sentiments at play in our Western systems. God(dess) often demands that we uplift the downtrodden and broken, relinquishing our worldly riches and our hoarding of gold for the betterment of humanity as part of how we interact in commerce and community. Unfortunately, today we often give lip-service to God the Christ (“the One who Saves”) while actively embodying the opposite of his radical economics. The Divine Savior at the heart of all of our traditions puts value on the greatest capital of all: life - our labor, leisure & intellectual capital, and even more so on the point of economics itself, saving and uplifting lives.
In the Refining Fire of the Master Blacksmith
Many traditions describe being within God's transformative "refiner’s fire,” so we look at the Deeper meaning of this as we continue to seek to heed Divinity's constant invitation toward greater humility, peace and heavenly wholeness - no matter our tradition.
God's Humility Allows for Our Salvation
In this message, we reflect on how scriptures describe God’s humility and how that empowering quality allows him/her to meet us where we’re at and uplift us toward heavenly peace and goodness. The open Christianity at the root of our Swedenborgianism tells us that not only are both man and woman made in God’s image and likeness, but all good and grand things in the universe are empowered by him/her. Despite such majesty, the Lord awaits and empowers our goodness with patience and kindness: he sets our path straight where we allow him to with Divine Humility. A humility that we’re asked to reflect back for our own spiritual well-being.
Uncover Your Light & Let it Shine
Many traditions, as well as the words of Christ, tell us that we should allow our lights to shine while shedding the hurtful constructs that can dampen them. What does this mean spiritually? It can be especially confusing when held in the light of our call to humility. However, as we'll see, combining this idea with Christ's and others' invitation to become like spiritual children can bring powerful insight into how these truths might empower our lives toward greater peace, play, and light.
